Group Exhibition
SALUTE: Synergy
May 2 – 18, 2026
Opening Reception: May 9 (4 to 6 pm)
Riverside Gallery presents a group exhibition, Synergy, featuring works of SALUTE (Salute to Women in the Arts) members. The exhibitions run from May 2 to 18, 2026 with an opening reception on May 9 from 4 to 6 pm.
With the theme synergy in mind women artists presented a varied collection of artwork. Synergy is an inclusive immersive art exhibition of oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, sculpture, mixed media, photography and clay artworks. There are abstract and realistic artworks, including figurative and landscapes. In each, the whole composition is important including the elements of Design. Over fifty artists are participating. Each has their own way of interpreting them.
Following is a very small sample of the myriad works included. Some of the artists focused on the meaning of synergy by combining subject matter and process; thereby creating a mixed media artwork.
Ann Brown (“See Beyond”) created a mixed media artwork combining paint, printmaking and ink. “It is about exploring new locations”.
Lynn Rudnick: (“Grid Love) - mixed media- a grid containing three dimensional individual cloth wrapped canvases that feature weaving and paint.
Hongmi Hoog combined processes to create glimmering stoneware bowls on which several colors are mixed with porcelain.
The exhibit includes: Linda Robins (“Martinique Magique) a richly colored Landscape Painting Landscape,
Linda Zitelli (“In The Dream,”) a painting of a Woman Dreaming. “Her body contains her dreams.
Lydia Baldasarre: (“My bags are Packed”) an abstract painting in which shapes are suspended in space.
Patricia Scillia: (Mystic) A photograph with a wide inclusive view of the landscape.
In this exhibit titled “Synergy”, the artists, Women who live and work throughout Northern New Jersey, were challenged to create a piece of art that they considered
complete and satisfying. The result is a wide ranging exhibition of artwork that is synergistic. Synergy will excite and inspire artists and art lovers alike.
