After completing art school in Lucca, Tuscany, he immersed himself in the new generation of artists, post-Macchiaioli Toscani (the Italian equivalent of French Impressionists). In the late 1960s, he opened a studio in Livorno, Italy where he had permanent exposition until the mid- 1970s. He moved to the United States in 1980 and has since continued his art career. During a short stay in San Miniato, Tuscany, the beauty of the city inspired the artist and he produced a series of paintings abundant with light and shadows, depicting the subject matter balanced between reality and dream. The careful geometric design and the harmonious distribution of color, reflect his excellent artistic schooling.
